Preventive measures at the airport

  • Are there any preventive measures being implemented at Belgrade airport, and what are they?

As part of preparations for the re-establishment of commercial flights, Belgrade Airport has taken a number of preventive measures.

The dynamics of cleaning and disinfection of the passenger terminal has been increased. Special emphasis is placed on escalators, chairs, handrails, counters, toilets, ATMs, elevators and floors.

It is mandatory to maintain social distance and use a protective mask during your stay in passenger terminals.

Please follow the instructions provided by the markings on posters, stickers, video instructions and other information notices.

Disinfectants have been installed along the entire route of passenger flows, and a transparent protective barrier has been installed at the check-in counters.

  • Is it necessary to wear a protective mask at the airport?

Please come to the passenger terminal with a protective mask which you are required to use during your stay at the terminal.

  • What are the limitations regarding the amount of disinfectant that can be brought on to an airplane?

In hand luggage/carry on, you can take a disinfectant that is in the original packaging, is not flammable and does not contain more than 70% alcohol in a maximum amount of 2 litres per passenger, in individual packages that do not exceed the volume of ½ litres.

  • Procedures to be followed prior to boarding the aircraft

The airport does not require any additional official confirmation when checking in for the flight. An airline ticket and travel documents are required to check in for the flight. For all additional information, please contact the airline whose services you are planning to use. On the web page https://beg.aero/lat/aviokompanije you can find contacts of all airlines that operate from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport.

  • Have any changes been made to the process of checking in for a flight?

We recommend, to all passengers who are able to use the option of online check-in, to register for their flight in such way. In this way, we reduce the risk of creating lines or crowds in front of the check-in counter. We also recommend that you pay for all services in the passenger terminal building avoiding direct contact i.e. by using payment cards, instead of cash.

  • At what time, prior to the flight, is necessary to arrive at the airport?

Plan your arrival at the airport at least three hours prior to your flight, so that you have enough time to go through all the prescribed check-in and ground handling procedures.

After the examination at the entrance to the waiting room has been conducted, please respect the social distancing while staying in the waiting room area.

  • What do you need to pay attention to prior to your flight from Nikola Tesla Airport?

Please check the status of your flight with the airline whose services you are planning to use, before arriving at the airport. By doing so, you will be sure that there have been no changes in the planned take-off time. As an additional option, we offer an up-to-date flight schedule service on our website at www.beg.aero/lat/letovi#departures.

  • What is the current procedure for passing the passenger security control?

We recommend placing all items that will pass through the X-ray machine in hand luggage. Items such as a mobile phone, wallet, keys are best placed in a transparent bag in order to avoid unnecessary contact. This also reduces the time spent in the inspection area. You will not be required to remove the protective mask during the X-ray control.

  • What is the seating arrangement on the plane?

The seating arrangement of passengers on the plane depends on the procedures of each individual airline, which is why we recommend that you contact the airline whose services you are planning to use regarding this information. If you need a protective mask, you can buy it in the "Hudson News" store, located between terminal 1 and terminal 2 area, „Main shop“ store, after passport control, and in the Lilly store located near C3-C4 gate.
